Hi! I'm Abi, a veterinary technician student with a deep passion for animal care and a lifelong love for veterinary medicine. My journey in this field began as a Veterinary Medical Assistant (VMA), where I built a strong foundation in patient care and clinic support. Now, as I continue my education, I'm excited to grow into a more hands-on role as a vet tech.
Before stepping into the clinical world, I spent 9 years in 4-H, gaining extensive experience working with a wide range of animals from small pets to livestock. That experience helped shape my understanding of animal behavior and husbandry, and gave me the confidence to work with animals of all kinds.
I especially enjoy dental procedures and phlebotomy, two areas that really allow me to combine precision with hands-on care. One of my long-term goals is to pursue a Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) in dentistry, so I can deepen my expertise and contribute to improving animals' overall health through oral care.
I truly enjoy that veterinary medicine is a constantly evolving field that encourages continual learning and growth. Every day presents new opportunities to expand my knowledge, improve my skills, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and their owners.
